Hemant Rohera's patents in grant order, 2018–2026

The patent register lists Hemant Rohera's grants family by family. This page lists the same grants in a different order: the order in which the patent offices granted them. Reading the record by date answers a question the register does not — how long each office took, from the priority date of the invention to the grant — and it shows the three patent families of Hemant K. Rohera (Hemant Karamchand Rohera) moving through the world's patent offices side by side rather than one at a time.

The three priority dates

Every duration below is measured from the priority date of the family the grant belongs to. The priority date is the date of the first filing; it is the date against which novelty is judged in every office that later grants the patent.

Hybrid Power Pack — hybrid energy storage architecturePCT/IB2015/05610810 July 2015

Every grant the register lists as held, in date order

Status wording is copied from the register and is not upgraded here: where the register says a status is unverified, this table says so too.

Durations are whole months from the priority date to the grant date, rounded down. Grants that were made but are no longer in force — the expired Australian innovation patent and the lapsed Eurasian patent for the Hybrid Power Pack, and the Eurasian patent for OMNIA Drive that was terminated for non-payment of a renewal fee — are deliberately left out of this table, because a lapsed grant is not protection. They are named on the register. The South African Hybrid Power Pack grant (ZA 2018/00747 B, 30 January 2019) is also left out, because its renewal status is unverified.

What the order shows

The energy work was granted first. For more than four years, from September 2018 to January 2023, every grant was in the energy families — the Hybrid Power Pack and OMNIA Drive. The first eMedica grant came in January 2023, and from late 2024 onward the medical device family accounts for most new grants. That is the same order as the filings themselves: the two energy inventions were filed in 2015, the medical device in 2019.

The same invention takes very different times in different offices. The Hybrid Power Pack was granted in India 3 years and 2 months after its priority date, and in Mexico 9 years and 7 months after it. Both grants cover the same international application. The gap reflects each office's procedure and backlog, not any difference in the invention, and it is the ordinary experience of any applicant who takes one invention into many national phases.

The two Indian grants are five years apart. IN 301517 (Hybrid Power Pack) issued in September 2018, 3 years and 2 months after priority; IN 477613 (OMNIA Drive) issued in December 2023, 8 years and 2 months after priority, by which time OMNIA Drive was already granted in the United States and Japan.

The medical device grants fall in a narrower band. Every eMedica grant in force arrived between 3 years 4 months and 6 years 7 months from priority. Its applications in India and at the European Patent Office (EP 4041064) are pending — not granted — and its applications in Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates and the Philippines are also pending.

How to check any line of this table

  1. Take the grant number and search it at the issuing office, or on Google Patents — for example US 10,523,019 B2, US 11,117,476 B2 and US 12,226,183 B2.
  2. Search the PCT number at WIPO Patentscope to see the international application and its national-phase entries.
  3. Search both name forms, Hemant Rohera and Hemant Karamchand Rohera, because the registers record the inventor's name differently — the reason is set out in why the record spells the name three ways.

The register remains the position of record. If this page and the register ever differ, the register is correct and this page is out of date.

Questions this page answers

Which of Hemant Rohera's patents in force was granted earliest? Indian patent IN 301517 for the Hybrid Power Pack, granted on 27 September 2018. (An Australian innovation patent in the same family was granted earlier, in 2015, and has since expired.)

What is Hemant Rohera's most recent patent grant? South Korean patent KR 10-2954775 for the eMedica medical therapeutic device, granted on 15 April 2026.

Who owns these patents? They are held by the inventor personally; the assignee field on the United States grants reads Individual. See held by the inventor.
