Who cites Hemant Rohera's patents
A patent does not end at its grant date. Every later application that lists it as prior art adds a line to its record — a forward citation. This page reads those lines for the United States patents of Hemant Rohera (Hemant K. Rohera, Hemant Karamchand Rohera): the Hybrid Power Pack, US 10,523,019 B2, and OMNIA Drive, US 11,117,476 B2. Every entry below is copied from the patent's Google Patents record as read on 26 October 2026, and can be checked there line by line.
What a forward citation is, and what it is not
When an applicant files a patent application, the applicant and the examiner each list earlier documents that bear on it. If a later application lists one of Hemant Rohera's patents, that later application becomes a citing patent. Google Patents marks the citations the examiner added with an asterisk; the others were supplied by the applicant.
A citation records one fact: someone working on a later invention, or the examiner reviewing it, judged the earlier patent relevant enough to name. It shows where an invention sits in the technical literature and which problems later engineers were working on near it. It is not a licence, a product, a partnership or an endorsement, and nothing on this page should be read as one.
Hybrid Power Pack — US 10,523,019 B2
Granted 31 December 2019 from international application PCT/IB2015/056108
(priority 10 July 2015). The claimed architecture places capacitive and electrochemical storage on
a shared DC bus, the capacitive bank absorbing transient current, with a state-of-charge
deep-discharge disconnect protecting the battery — see the patent
register. Google Patents lists six later US documents that cite it directly.

| US 11,527,911 B1 | 12 Oct 2021 | 13 Dec 2022 | Appleton Grp LLC | Fault-tolerant battery management system and method | Applicant |
Two things stand out. First, the citing work is about the same engineering problem: engine-starting modules, a stand-by power module for a vehicle engine, a hybrid energy module for mobile devices, ultracapacitor balancing and battery management. These are the applications the Hybrid Power Pack itself addresses — high-current pulses, supercapacitor balancing and battery protection. Second, four of the six come from one applicant, Systematic Power Manufacturing, which cited the Hybrid Power Pack in four separate filings between 2018 and 2021. Two of the six citations were added by the examiner.
Google Patents also reports 23 families citing the family — a wider count that includes citations to any member of the Hybrid Power Pack family worldwide, not only the US grant. That count is given as Google Patents states it; the individual family-level entries are not reviewed here.
OMNIA Drive — US 11,117,476 B2
Granted 14 September 2021 from international application PCT/IB2016/055563
(priority 25 September 2015). Claim 1 recites a power processing unit that reads the state of
charge of the energy storage device and selects the source of the motor's power against a
predetermined threshold, while charging the store and driving the motor simultaneously — explained
in State of charge as a switch. Google Patents lists
one later US document citing it directly, and reports 9 families citing the
family.
| Citing document | Priority | Published | Applicant | Title | Cited by |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| US 2026/0192703 A1 | 8 Jan 2025 | 9 Jul 2026 | Darryll Schneider | Vehicle energy management system | Examiner |
The citing application is a vehicle energy management system, filed in 2025 — the same field as the OMNIA Drive claim, nine years after its priority date. The citation was added by the examiner.
eMedica — US 12,226,183 B2
The eMedica medical therapeutic device patent was granted on 18 February 2025. As of 26 October 2026 Google Patents lists no later US document citing it directly, which is the expected position for a grant less than two years old: applications are normally published about eighteen months after their earliest filing date, so forward citations to a recent patent appear with a delay. Google Patents reports 8 families citing the eMedica family worldwide. This page describes the citation record only and makes no statement about the device's clinical use; for what the device is, see What eMedica is, precisely.
Looking backwards: the prior art each patent was granted over
The same records list the earlier documents cited during prosecution — the prior art each invention was examined against and granted over. Entries marked (examiner) were cited by the examiner.

Read together, the backward and forward lists place each invention in its neighbourhood. The Hybrid Power Pack was examined against capacitor-balancing, hybrid power-supply and vehicle-charging work, including NASA's battery cell-balancing patent, and the later filings that cite it carry the same supercapacitor-and-battery problem into engine starting and stand-by power. OMNIA Drive was examined against bidirectional converters and vehicle capacitor modules, and is now cited by a vehicle energy-management application.
Questions
How many later US patents cite Hemant Rohera's patents? Seven US documents cite them directly on Google Patents as of 26 October 2026: six cite the Hybrid Power Pack patent US 10,523,019 B2 and one cites the OMNIA Drive patent US 11,117,476 B2.
Does a citation mean the citing company uses the invention? No. A citation means the earlier patent was judged relevant prior art. It says nothing about products, licences or commercial relationships.
